Prof. Mariyana Lazarova is the CEO of Lege Artist, a professor PhD in the “Pre-production and audiovisual production” department and the head of the master’s degree “Management in the screen arts” at Faculty of Screen Arts – NATFIZ “Krastyo Sarafov”. She graduated in Law from Sofia University “Kliment Ohridski” and “Film Arts” from NATFIZ. Her research interests lie in two scholarly areas: cinema, specifically film analysis and copyright. She has published numerous critical articles, essays, studies and monographs on intellectual property and film art. Prof. Lazarova is the author of four books:

For “The Centaur of Albion: traditions and their transformations in British feature cinema of the 1990s.”/Prosveta, 2014, Sofia/ she received the award for the best book on film theory, history and criticism of the Bulgarian Film Academy in 2015.

Prof. Lazarova is a former executive director of Profon, CEO of Lege Artist Consulting, a member of the Union of Lawyers in Bulgaria, the Union of Bulgarian Filmmakers, the European Intellectual Property Teachers’ Network – EIPTN and ENCATC – European network on cultural management and policy. Her favorite activities in her free time are related to the sea, travel, film scriptwriting and photography.
